Description: Come join your colleagues on July 1st for a history
focused day. Harry S. Truman and Thomas Hart Benton have been
referred to as "Missouri rascals" because of their plain speaking
style. These famous Americans and Nathan Boone were connected to
Southwest Missouri and their stories will be shared. Presenters
will come from the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, Harry S
Truman National Historic Site, Harry S Truman Birthplace State
Historic Site, Thomas Hart Benton Home Historic Site, and the
Nathan Boone Homestead State Historic Site. They will engage
teachers by broadening teachers' historical knowledge, sharing
teaching activities, and letting teachers know what educational
resources are available. New.
