Description: One of the best resources for teaching American
history, government and politics is the We the People: Citizen and
the Constitution textbook published by the Center for Civic
Education. These materials are provided at no cost to the classroom
teacher who agrees to teach with the materials. There is a close
connection between the CLE’s, this curriculum and textbook, and the
EOC exams for history and government. This workshop will provide
the tools and strategies to address the Missouri CLE’S with your
students in an engaging and powerful way. The WTP program
challenges students to think critically, write effectively, and
communicate verbally in civil discourse that is important to
maintaining our democratic society.
