The Word Detective Reading Program

Judy Dare presented a "fast-paced" phonics program that can be incorporated into any reading program. The Word Detective program uses visual images to help students quickly learn consonant and vowel sounds needed to decode words. Even beginning readers can start decoding words almost immediately using this program. Participants learned many strategies to use in their classrooms.
