Description: Are you looking for ways to motivate your students--and you--to write?  This workshop series will provide practical ideas and ways to create a comfortable environment in which to teach writing across the curriculum.  The first two sessions will provide activities, background, and ideas for you to use in your classroom, including tips to help students learn how to edit their own writing.  A format for an after-school writing club will be shared, with specific lessons that can be used to help those students who want to do more with their writing.  Information about how to publish both student and teacher works will be shared by the facilitator, a local writer and former elementary teacher. The third session will provide time to discuss the ideas that were used and to develop specific plans that will work with your students.  NEW
