Description: This workshop provides instructional leaders an
overview of Cognitive Coaching. This is a model for
conversations about planning, reflecting, or problem-solving.
It is a non-judgmental, developmental, reflective model informed by
current work in brain research, constructivist learning theory, and
practices that promote best learning. The coaching
interaction focuses on mediating a practitioner’s thinking,
perceptions, beliefs, and assumptions toward the goals of
self-directed learning. Participants will receive Cognitive
Coaching: Weaving Threads of Learning and Change Into the
Culture of An Organization by Jane Ellison and Carolee Hayes if
registered by January 15, 2008. New.
