Guerilla Warfare in Southwest Missouri During the Civil War

by Anne Shadwick

The junior high trunk contains a reproduction embroidered guerilla outfit with hat, primary source accounts, music from the era on CD and a PowerPoint presentation.  Lessons feature use of the Internet to gather information by a scavenger hunt and a KOAM news CD on the destruction of Sherwood, a former local town.  There are local Provost Marshall primary source records and circuit court documents for student analysis.
