
Deanna Woolsey graduated from MSSC and began teaching 4th grade. Deanna went on to earn her masters degree in elementary administration and supervision from PSU. She felt her calling was in the classroom and spent her years with 4th, 5th and 6th graders in the Webb City district. Deanna was science department chair for 6th grade for 5 years and a member of the MO State Science Review Team for National Science Standards for 4 years. Deanna has presented a the National Science Teacher's Conventions in St. Louis, Houston and Seattle plus Missouri State Teachers' Conventions, Interface and numerous school districts in SW Missouri. In 1988 she received the Cowgill Blair Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence and in 1990 the Missouri Presidential Award for Excellence in Science/Math teaching.
